at Shanghai, was administered by William Keswick,

and the net balance of income arising therefrom,

was, from time to time, applied to charitable purposes.

Mr. William Keswick died in England on the 9th

of March 1912. His Will, made on 5th March 1912, was

duly proved, on April 17th 1912 in the Principal

Probate Registry, London, by his son Henry Keswick,

M.P., and his brother James Johnstone Keswick, two of

the executors (the others named in the Will having

renounced Probate).

No Trust Deed or Declaration of Trust of the

Ford Estate was made by the late Mr. William Keswick

and no provision thereasto was made by his Will.

Mr. Henry Keswick and Mr. J.J.Keswick, as

executors of Henry Keswick deceased, executed on

30th January 1913 a Declaration of Trust relative to

the Ford Estate.

This Declaration (though under the circumstances

of no legal effect) is hereto attached, in original,

for reference as showing the then state of the trust

property and funds.

No question or doubt as to the validity of Mr.

Ford's bequest seems to have arisen until on 6th

November
